Christy Firth - Hanging F Horsemanship

Christy was born and raised in the beautiful West Kootenays of BC where she began riding at the age of two. In her early teenage years Christy began showing in Western classes, horsemanship and speed events leading to participating in clinics and working opportunities. At the age of 15 she began legging up and working client horses in the local area as well as trimming under the guidance of a farrier.
She moved to Olds, Alberta at 19 where she reached for experiences and gained opportunities to work for breeding barns and ride for race trainers. Alberta also presented ability to explore the backcountry via packing and camping in some of the most beautiful country and offered opportunity to work cattle and farm.
Christy furthered her education in Equine management, psychology, nutrition and physiology before acquiring Management positions for boarding facilities and worked as a colt starter alongside some deeply talented trainers until condensing her experiences to develop Hanging F Horsemanship in the West Kootenay Region.
Since then, she has furthered her interest in honing professional skills and education in a variety of aspects from hoof care and pathology, training, coaching, and showing. She prides herself on reaching outside the box to offer exceptional services based on experience, education and honest evaluation. A direct commitment to education and an open mind has allowed Christy to work in a variety of disciplines and operations under some exceptionally talented horsemen and women. She has attended large scale shows throughout Canada and the US, chaired as executive for multiple societies and associations, conducted clinics and events, and provided honest and professional training services which has solidified her Horsemanship practices.
